Fund the Sail Fund - Challenge2!!
We are excited to announce phase 2 of our Fund the Sail Fund
You wil recall the first challenge was to every club member to sail an additonal 10 hours in August. With 100 plus members sailing 10 more hours at $10 per hour (Ensign $15): 100 x 10 x $10 = $10,000 – the goal is the number needed to fund the sail fund. This challenge was extended into September and is stil ongoing. Let’s get out on the water. If you are not able to sail extra hours you can donate $100 – write “Fund the Sail Fund” on the memo line of your check and mail to the club mailbox.
CHALLENGE 2 – matching donations!!
An anonomous benefactor (to be revealed later) has set aside $5,000 for a matching donations campaign. Each member is challenged to donate $100 or more and the benefactor will match that, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000!. This means every dollar you donate is automatically doubled! This is huge. Write “Matching Funds Challenge” on the memo line of your check and mail to the club mailbox.
