On Saturday morning 08/27/2022, approximately 15 club members met for a Racing Clinic Workshop. The purpose is to give new members an opportunity to learn more about sailboat racing. Convair Sailing Club has two active racing fleets, Victory (Catalina) and Ensign (Pearsons) that particpate in an annual regatta program, with monthly events.
After a preliminary orientation, five Ensigns went out to sail various courses in the general sailing area in front of Harbor Isand.
This was followed by a social gathering on the Harbor Island deck in front of the deli to de-brief and ask questions and learn more about the whats and hows of the racing rules.
Appreciation to Robert & Tracy who spearheaded the idea and arranged the event.
